"Bastille Day" is a song by the Canadian rock band Rush, and is the opening track from their third album, Caress of Steel. Jan 28, · So here I am with Caress of Steel, Rush’s third album, and the one which was received so badly by their record label that they asked them to become Bad Company. It starts off with a song I was already familiar with, “Bastille Day”, a tune which boasts one of the band’s strongest riffs, and on reflection is the album’s high point/5(43).
Caress Of Steel is a chance to hark back to when Rush first broke onto the scene, their third album after Rush and Fly By Night, has a good mixture of heavy rock, terrific guitar rifts, Neil Peart's always excellent drums and Lee's voice at his strongest. Several of the tracks are hints of the longer epic prog rock tracks to come in later albums/5().
Jan 12, · DMM vinyl version arrived in perfect condition. While Caress of Steel was not my favorite Rush album, it was monumental in setting the stage for the progressive epic masterpieces that would follow. Taking up the entire B side, "The Fountain of Lamneth" /5.
